Not your typical audio shop

NextGen is more of a boutique-style automotive design shop, focused on crafting personalized solutions that reflect each client’s unique taste.

A Passion for Sound and a Vision for Better

NextGen was started in 2015 by its sole owner, Fraser Hiebert. Being a sound enthusiast, Fraser noticed a lack of emphasis on customer experience and product quality at many car audio shops. This fueled his desire to find something better. He visited various stores throughout North America and discovered businesses that provided an exclusive, high-end experience for their valued customers. With the goal of bringing that knowledge to Saskatoon, the idea for designing the next generation of automotive installation standards was born—and NextGen opened its doors.

It didn’t take long for NextGen to be rated Saskatoon’s #1 aftermarket accessory shop. This accomplishment is due to many factors, but mainly the shop’s ability to adapt year after year to new technology, research and secure the latest and greatest products, and consistently prioritize quality in every installation. NextGen regularly sends its team to training seminars and events and reinvests in tools and technology that other shops simply don’t offer—such as CNC laser cutting.

NextGen Automotive Installation specializes in 12-volt aftermarket accessories, high-fidelity car audio design, and key cutting/programming. NextGen is not your typical car audio shop—it’s more of an automotive design boutique, tailored specifically to each client’s taste.

Fraser Hiebert

Fraser has always had a passion for taking things apart, figuring out how they work, and fixing them—ever since he was a kid working on his mom’s toaster. After graduating in 2010, Fraser attended SIAST to complete his Automotive Mechanics Pre-Employment course, finishing at the top of his class.

He then traveled to New Jersey to study at the Mobile Technical Training Institute, where he learned 12-volt (automotive) electronics and everything that comes with it—stereos, remote starts, lighting, and more.

He earned his MECP certification and received the “Top Dog” award for once again finishing at the top of his class.
